We were driving to San Diego on Friday and I was suddenly kicking myself for not buying a big bag of Fritos and a pack of Sour Patch Kids. Seriously what is it about a long drive that makes things you would normally never buy sound like the world's most delicious treat? At the gas station one of those God awful Hostess Fruit Pies looked good. What the hell?! Don't worry I didn't get one but I did get the Fritos and Sour Patch Kids and decided to throw in a bag of Reese's Pieces for good measure.
What's your favorite roadtrippin' vice?

Oh San Diego, my boyfriend is there for 4 weeks for work..
On the road snack typical Dutch licorice in Dutch called "dropjes"
a blizzard from dairy queen is a must when road trippin through Texas. Seriously, it's sacrilegious to not. :)
nutter butters and dr. pepper! :-)
Beef jerky. I never eat the stuff, but on a road trip it's like the best food ever.
The only time I'll eat anything from McDonald's that doesn't fall into the dessert category is on a road trip. And the only meat there I'll eat is in a McGriddle. That thing is seriously tasty.
Oooooh pretzle rods and m&ms!
being from the south, i loooove cajun hot boiled peanuts!! and maybe i'll throw in a bag of doritos and reese's peanut butter cups. a little guilty please never hurt anybody!
Oh my gosh - I'm right there with you! My husband and I just got back from a 13 hour road trip (we were in Minnesota) and we ate the entire way. Candy bars, "Munchies" (have you ever tried them? They are fantastic!), Swedish Fish, peanuts, chips... you name it and we ate it! UGH! ;)
