black is lovely too. such a different vibe than white. saw a house this weekend on a house tour that had painted a lot of the doors/cabinents/crown moulding black. loved it!
i am the same way! i have to fight the urge to pain all my furniture glossy black just so the things that are can keep their impact.

Ditto that...as I sit, typing away in my chalkboard black painted office.
My interior designer talked me into going with more big, black statement pieces and I'm thrilled. We recently added an enormous black entertainment center. I was worried about clashing with my all-white trim, but it works!
