Think it will be easy?

I saved these pictures because I loved the envelopes lined with maps. I adore receiving a handwritten note, so I'm wondering if I can whip these up with some gorgeous simple stationary and a map. My dilemma is will the juice be worth the squeeze? Will making these babies cost me an arm and a leg and be a pain? I would not consider myself crafty, if I'm making something it's usually out of necessity or just to see how easy it is to make it. The big part of being crafty that I find annoying is that crafting requires lots of supplies which take a lot of money and a lot of storage space. Not to say that I don't enjoy making something cute because I do. It's just not the way I like to relax, you know me I like to watch some trashy Bravo reality. Anyhoo I think I'll give it a whirl because I do have exactos, corkbacked rulers and a cutting mat.
[I'm a bad, bad blogger and didn't save the source. If this image is from you or is your gorgeous handiwork please let me know and I'll credit you ASAP]

I think the cost will depend on how much the items you use to line the envies actually cost. The deed itself is actually really, really easy. I lined our save-the-date envies in no time. I made a template, cut the paper from thick wrapping paper (card stock weight) and used a double-sided tape roller to go around the edges.

It might not be too bad...if you find a cheap source for the maps and use the Paper Source envelope liner templates and their envelopes (sale!). I used their templates for my wedding invites: http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/item/envelope-liner-template-kit/2950.401/40712906.html

Hey Sarah! Thanks for stopping by my blog-I blogged about our basset charlie back in december, quite a story with him. He is the cutest, most loving, most STUBBORN animal ever to walk the face of this earth!

Yeah i am with you. I am not a crafty relaxed person. My ideas go rampant and I tend to over embellish etc! Though I can sew and stuff I only do it if I need to do it. I don't like paper so I don't like to scrapbook. I am a computer person! If I can cut and paste all by clicking a button, I am happy! BTW Chris just got a map so he could mark everywhere he's been traveling lately. We got it Barnes and Noble and it was pretty big, enough for the envelopes for $5.
