Gap it's Love/Hate

Cuteness at the Gap can happen. It's one of those hit or miss places, usually it's decent separates that I think just need a little better styling. I did have the opportunity to stop there without the kids for a quick peek and ended up with a few things. I picked up this dress in grey I paired it with these shoes and decided to wear a belt lower on the hips.

While I was there I also chose this shirt in white which I wore tucked into a black pencil skirt with a wide black belt and cute round toe pumps that I picked up at good ole' Tarjay.

I would have grabbed these sandals too but they didn't have them in my size.

Are you like me with a love/hate relationship with the Gap? I shop there quite a bit for the littles because I love their jeans and shorts for the kids. They're not outrageously expensive but don't look cheap either but then again sometimes their little boys shirts...not so cute. Ugh, see here I go again, love/hate.

totally!!!! especially their maternity section at the present moment. sometimes they just miss the boat entirely on what actually looks good on a woman!

Great picks! I LOVE Gap for the kids. They always have adorable dresses for Kate. I don't shop there much for myself, but that could be because I don't ever get to shop for myself?

I had not been in there for sooo long, but when I popped in the other day, I was pleasantly surprised. That grey top that you got was one of my fave picks, and now I'm thinking I might have to go back and grab it!

So cute! I am loving those outfits! I have a love/hate relationship with Gap too. Sometimes I can find great things there but they are few and far between. Although after seeing these I may have to go back!

i hear you. it's likefor the past decade gap co. has put their worst designers with the gap store. old navy has better designs! but once in awhile....like that blouse you just bought. i have to have that blouse.

Everythinkg looks fantastic. They have a dress very similar to the one above at Target, a little diffierent in detail, but the fit wasn't at all flattering. Are you happy with the one from Gap?

I totally agree w/ the love/hate thing. I'm not loving it for myself, but find that w/ little boys clothes they keep handing me discount after discount! I'm not sure I've paid more than $10 for a shirt for my son in awhile. I do love that shirt you picked up though. It looks really cute, and not "Gap"-ish at all.
Came across your blog through Kim at TomKat Studio btw...it's really great! Keep up the good work!

I feel the same way!!!! Sometimes it ends up being seasonally with me but I have to say I ALWAYS love their plain t's, bras/underwear/pjs... I remember when I was like 12 or 13 and I was so intimadated to walk in there because I thought it was so stylish!!! hahaha
