Mommy moment

Sometimes when you're a mom you just have to shake your head and move on. Case in point, yesterday morning the boys wanted to play fetch with the dogs but they were outside eating their breakfast so they decided to play themselves. Big was the thrower and Little was the dog. Fine right?

{Stella waiting to play}
Until I catch Little licking the dogs' tennis ball. Ewww. I ask, "Did Little just lick the tennis ball?" Big shrugs and says, "Yep." I shake my head and keep walking. No point in saying anything because I know they couldn't miss my shocked delivery when asking the question. Would this be a move on moment for you? I guess it could also be one of those 2nd child moments too..or maybe a combo?

I probably would have given the ol... "you know that dog licks her rear and now you just licked the dog's rear" and then they would have started laughing and so Would I and then I would move along... so to make a long story short, a DEFINITE move along moment!!

P.S. GREAT story!!

Ahh, mommy moment it is. I have "teacher moments" that are similar, including catching a student licking a desk...yuck!

Ha ha too funny. I think you just have to laugh and keep going.

I love that one was pretending to be the dog!

We had a Super Bowl party with more kids than adults last night. There were LOTS of "Oh honey don't eat that well I guess you just did oh well" moments.

hilarious! do you know that diego thinks he's a dog... like 15 hours out of every day?! literally he barks instead of talking, crawls instead of walking, and licks instead of kissing... ALL. THE. TIME. We hoped it was a phase, but it's been a few months now, and I'm starting to accept I might have actually given birth to a pooch instead of a son;-) maybe it is the second born thing??!! Also... cute pup, with a fantastic name!
