Love it :: Brown

Today I'm dreaming of dark leather handbags and herringbone floors.

Maybe thinking of such things will keep my mind off of the fact that I was a crabby old harpy this morning. I hate mornings like that. Getting the kids ready, lunches made and out the door without forgetting something not to mention the arguing that ensues immediately upon arrival in the car it's enough to make a mom nuts. I hate losing my cool, it never makes the situation any better but sometimes it happens. So I will sit and continue to drink my coffee while imagining that my floors are now dark and herringbone and one of these bags is residing my my closet.

A week already?

So I guess I've made myself scarce this past week, sorry about that. Last Wednesday I had a little kitchen mishap which involved stitches so I've been a little off my game. My grand plans of organizing all of my piles and closets hasn't fared so well. That's ok I have plenty of time to procrastinate on that. In fact in a little effort to procrastinate some more I think I need to do/try/make/find the following items.

Chocolate Sorbet - Made by local lifestyle guru Jaimee. I must make this, yum.

Stalk the web for an astronomy print.

Read the following book.

Obsess about this handbag. I just noticed that they're selling the neon Cambridge Satchels at J.Crew. Thank you for making my stalking this item much easier.

Which kind of reminds me of this artist who I adore.

Hopefully this will keep me busy until the mood strikes to get productive again.

Sweet Paul

This is hands down my favorite Fall image that I've seen this season.

Thank you Sweet Paul.

Garden Grove Marguerite

I just got a new handbag for my birthday but I can't help but covet this bag by Kate Spade. I mean come on, what's not to love?

Supernova bag

This is the kind of fun bag that I love but need to find the less expensive version. I love the studded detail but I think after one season I would tire of it so not worth the big bucks (to me) so if you happen to see one that looks kinda like it please send it my way.
Thanks in advance.

Hip bag

You know those things that you covet forever? I have been doing that with the May Your Stars Align Belt Bags from Lizzie Fortunato Jewels ever since I saw one on the oh-so-cool Courtney's blog. Such cuteness.

Oh and just in case you're wondering...I'm Gemini.

Weekender

I really like the graphic orange print of the Weekender Tote but more importantly I LOVE the jute upholstery tape trim. So cute, the perfect bag for fall weather.

Handbags

The other day I was in the Coach store and had a ball because there was so many things there that caught my fancy. I have to say I really like Coach handbags, not the stupid logo ones but just the classic leather bags. They are simple, quality and not terribly expensive. (Please mind you that I'm comparing them to other more statusey bags out there.) I just feel like you get a nice bag for your buck.

Anyhow this is what I'm loving, cute clutch, cute wallet and great bag.

Little lemon

I was browsing J. Crew and got all excited because I saw that they are carrying yoga clothes, then (yawn) nothing special. They do however have a cheerful yellow yoga bag that I love!

Pretty, pretty lining

I just saw these little handbags and loved that they had pretty lining. I have been reading that there are many others out there that purchase specifically because they love the lining.

Well not only are these little bags cute on the inside they are perfect for the quick change necessary for those of us that still have to carry the dreaded (ugh) diaper bag. They fit the necessities, cash, cards, cell and lipstick, good on it's own or in something else.

Inspirational People

Do you have those people that always inspire you? Those people who are altruistic and are so sincere. It's these kind of people that really do make things happen in this world. I have a friend like that she's super cute, friendly to everyone and is always trying to make the world a better place. You know the kind of gal that puts her kids in cloth diapers but never says a word to you as you buy the huge container of Huggies from Costco?

Yesterday we were shopping at Whole Foods and she picked up a couple of the FEED bags for herself and explained to me that purchasing one bag would feed a hungry child for one year.

Since many grocery stores are phasing out the plastic bags it's up to us to bring something, what better choice than the FEED bags. FEED is an organization founded by Lauren Bush and it benefits the United Nations World Food Program, not only is the bag chic it's designed with sustainable materials and is made with fair labor. So before you buy the bags by the check out counter make sure to look if they sell the FEED bags because not only are you being environmentally conscious you are making a commitment to fight hunger.

Happy weekend!

The weekend is here and I thought that I would just post something that I have a crush on. I love sparkly, shiny, brightly colored stuff and this spring j'adore green! I saw this handbag on Kate Spade and fell in love. It meets all my criteria for a fun spring handbag, what's not to love?
