Winter to spring is happening fast here in AZ. It's been beautiful and sunny in the 70's but I'm missing the little bit of winter that we do get. So I feel like my cold weather clothes have gotten very little wear this year. The best way to dress here is layers; the 37 degree mornings that quickly morph into a warm sunny day need great transitional items. Here is what's on my list for this Arizona winter.

Here's what I've been digging. Simple earrings with a fancy back? Sign me up. I've been living in a blazer and tee the past few months. Need a pulled together, quick, chic party outfit? Check! Trust me on this one. Spring sunnies this year must involve the colored mirrored lenses even better if they have a cat eye. Lastly I'm missing short hair, I'm ready for something a little edgier.

Dress Up :: Fall On A Budget

So we're back and again it's been almost a week since I posted. Ah, Sunday the day of procrastination the perfect day for blogging. I had all sorts of good intentions of a Knock It Off post or maybe some cool Friday links last week but it wasn't to be. I had a runaway dog and a sick kid which of course all happened at the same time. Fun times I tell ya! So I thought we'd play dress up today with all items priced below $100. It's transitional time right now so even though it's still hot we want to pretend it's fall so I kept that in mind when I was playing dress up.

Knock It Off :: Work Style

Since it's September and I'm dreaming of sweaters I thought this image from Pinterest needed to be knocked off. I love every single element. I did warm up it up a bit in the color department, since it's Fall and all.

Clean and Graphic

Today I'm doing it backwards, I usually write a post and then find pictures that seem to match the mood. Today it seems that I'm just posting some pretty and while I'm getting the images together I might find something interesting to say. 

These pictures are kind of how I hope my summer goes, clean and simple. It's been nice so far but it's only been a week. Am I too crazy to hope it keeps up? Yes I know I'm freaking bonkers. It's OK, please let me keep on with my illusion that I will have the perfect summer.

Fashion Devil/Wellness Angel

Does anyone else have fashion angels and devils sitting on their shoulders? On one side I have fashion devil whispering sweet nothings in my ears about wearing hot shoes like these. "You know you lovvve them."

And on the other side the angel is shrieking, "Your feet have 33 joints, 26 bones and tons of muscles they shouldn't be stuffed into those shoooeessss!!!"

The angel often tells me to get a pair of these. And I secretly want them but also loathe how they look. I'm in a conundrum. I actually asked a friend if she would still be my friend if I bought a pair, I think she's on the fence. Ha! Anyone out there that reads my blog have a pair? How do style devil and pilates/wellness angel work together? I haven't quite figured it out.

Oh Garance...

You slay me! Glad to see I'm not the only one who has a love/hate relationship with Ms. Paltrow. If you've been reading this blog long enough you know I worship at her style alter and I love that she loves cooking but sometimes I think, "Sheesh, get real lady". Anyhow thank you to the ever fabulous Garance Dore for making me laugh this morning!

Finally I'm able to browse the Zara online offerings! Question, does an Arizona girl really need a fur poncho?

Not sure if it's at all practical but I do know that these black wedge booties must be mine!!

Fall Dressing

When I save images to my computer or pinterest I usually just do it as I go and then when I browse what I've saved I can usually group them together in a way that makes sense. Like today while browsing I've decided that scarves and baggy sweaters must make it into the fall repertoire.

Love it :: Ombre Wedding Gown

Since I blog for The Invitation Lady I often peruse the wedding scene and sometimes I'm totally blown away by the coolness of a wedding. This one had me at the bride's gown, (wow, which she designed herself). Love, love, love it!

Want it :: Emerald

I know that Fall in Arizona doesn't mean much, it's a blink and you miss it kind of thing. Now that we're on the heels of it though I must get a few emerald accessories to transition into the cooler weather. Looks good with animal print don't you think?

Wear it :: Neon

This isn't one of those trends that I dread because I wore it in fifth grade, I'm loving it! Neon makes me happy. I dig how they're wearing it this time around. No black, it's neutrals and navy.

Marchesa on the carpet

This morning while scouring the web for images of the new Marchesa bridal line for The Invitation Lady I spent a little time dissecting the Red Carpet looks for Marchesa. A few things I came away with:

The Fanning sisters are beyond adorable. We thought Dakota was sweet well her little sister Elle is stunning.

The whole world loved this dress on Olivia Wilde and I did too but for some reason every now and then she reminds me of a bug. Which is weird because I think she's pretty, so am I the only one who occasionally spots this?

I've forgotten how much I like Jennifer Lopez. I don't watch American Idol so I haven't been able to see her looks there but I do love how she always looks fabulous on the red carpet. I'm sure her look is planned to death but it always works and she dresses her body to flaunt it's strengths. She wears her clothes not the other way around.

Anyone I've missed?

Love it :: Blair Waldorf

While we're on the subject of fashion did you watch Gossip Girl last night? Seriously Blair could not have looked more beautiful during last night's party du jour. 

These images don't do the gown justice! This dress with her hair and makeup were stunning, stuff dreams are made of. Not to mention her other looks weren't too shabby either.

You know I love some daytime sparkle!

Marc Jacobs Fall 2011

We all know that Marc Jacobs is super cool, genius, etc, etc, but I love his little details. This season it's the polka dot hosiery. Just perfect.

Wear it :: Emerson Made

I've been stationed at my computer drooling over EmersonMade's Spring looks. A polka dot scalloped skirt? Such cuteness. 

A tuxedo jacket paired with their rolled shorts? So unexpected.

And these jeans and jacket?  To die.  The jacket is waxed cotton which ups the cool factor considerably, I've now gone from drooling to putting it on my covet list.
