One day while shopping my local Tarjay I decided to take the plunge and purchase a drugstore brand of mascara. I read on a blog that they thought it was the best thing ever and I thought I will give it a shot. Bad idea. For the next few days I had black flecks of mascara all over my face. Not a good look. 
So I'm back to my old standby, my favorite perfect mascara. I love it because it makes my lashes look super long and doesn't get all over the place. But I'm a product whore and like to try new things from time to time. So please share your go-to product that you can't live without.

That is my favorite mascara too, I have tried others but there is really no comparison.

ReplyDeleteI have been using Dior Show for a while now and really like it. I don't wear mascara that often, but when I do, that's my go-to. I swear by Nars concealer though. It works wonders. I actually love all of their products.
ReplyDeleteDitto. I use the same one. I've strayed before and only regretted it. I'm probably a customer for life...or until I'm so old I'm wearing falsies. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree. That was my fave mascara since I starting wearing makeup. I used to take my mom's sample ones. No generic substitutions. Until I did find falsies!! Now I wear those everyday! I need to somehow get eyelash extensions into the budget.............luckily my children got trantula legs for lashes from their dad!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the May Kay lash lengthening...not an extender but smooth and easy...no flakes and no clumps. Not waterproof but stays til I wash it off.....
ReplyDeleteI've made that same mistake. Why mess around when you already have something you know and love? I guess the one thing I can't live w/o is Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer.
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of trying to save money on mascara and switched from DiorShow to Maybelline Lash Stiletto. The quality and color difference is huge. So, yes, I swear by DiorShow. Also, VIncent Longo cheek and lip stain and Biotherm lip glosses.

ReplyDeleteI remember having samples of the Lancome mascara and loving it. I think that was back in college though, so I couldn't splurge. I've been using Maybelline (first pink/green, now XXL) for a LONG time and I do love it. However, I'm not one to switch things up. I think I've been wearing the same black liquid eyeliner for 10 years...at least. HELP!

The L'Oreal Voluminous mascara... I haven't noticed clumping or flaking, so I've been happy with it! If you found one you love though you might want to stick with it :) I hate it when I buy new makeup, use it once and hate it...I've wasted so much money throwing bad cosmetic products in the trash!
kevyn aucoin mascara! Smudge proof & cry proof. Some drug store brands are using a similar formula, I've tried them and k.a's still the best.
