I want a tea party

I think I have tea on the brain, big time.

Anyone else out there love to go have tea besides moi? Where are your favorite places? It's always fun to know the inside skinny on what's cool in other cities. Locally I love to have tea at the Phoenician Resort, you?

  1. Sister - I have been to the High Tea at the Intercontinental Hotel in KC a couple of times. Very neat and right up your alley. Maybe the next time you are here we can get dressed up and go. :)

  2. Ok, so funny because I just popped over to comment and this is what it was going to say...

"When I was little we used to get all dressed up and go to the Teddy Bear Tea at the Biltmore Ritz Carlton with my mom and aunts. The Phoenician is great, too.

Haven't really found anywhere here in KC yet, though."

And then I saw Nicole's comment! Problem solved! If you go, you'll have to let me know how it is!

  3. Well this is timely, since you went to Austin last week and all, but the best place I've ever had tea -- I still dream about the food there -- is The Steeping Room in Austin.

  6. If you're ever in New Orleans, you must have experience High Tea at Windsor Court in Le Salon. My mother and I have been taking tea there (or at least she has) for almost 30 years! I was a little older when I was able to attend. We host many parties at home and here in Charlotte, so you've just touched upon something very dear to my heart.

I'm going to go call my mother.

  7. We have a few places here in So. Cal. My favorite is the Ritz In Laguna Niguel- it is seasonal though usually around the holidays. Then there is the Four Seasons in San Diego. My last tea was with my husband at the Orangerie in London- yummm!

  10. that is such a fab picture!
A little place in my town called Kitchenette is the best place for hot tea, they have cozy sofas and a big fire roaring in the Fall & Winter. Sometimes it's hard to leave...
